The 13th annual Plymouth Police Citizen’s Police Academy commenced on March 27, 2013.

Persons 18 years of age or over who are interested in participating in the next Citizen’s Police Academy should

Download an Application here. Completed applications should be brought into the station and given to Training Sgt. Manfredi. Questions can be forwarded to Sgt. Manfredi at ext. 211.

 

Past students of this program, who ranged in age from students in their mid teens to those in their late 60’s, have been exposed to a wide variety of law enforcement instruction including:

· Traffic investigation and enforcement
· Narcotics and criminal investigation
· Patrol operations including a K-9 display
· Use of force training including using a firearms simulator and a trip to the firing range
· Incident response to terrorist bombing
· Guided tours of the Plymouth Police Station, the Plymouth County Correctional Facility and the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing located at the Plymouth Municipal Airport

We hope this valuable program can be instituted in the coming years.
