Plymouth Police K-9 Unit

The Plymouth Police K-9 Unit was deactivated approximately 20 years ago, but under the leadership of Chief Botieri, it was re-instituted in the spring of 2010.

Our two K9 Officers

Created in 2010 through a partnership with the PLYMOUTH County Sheriff’s Department, our agency has two K-9 Officers assigned to our Patrol Division who specialize in narcotics detection.

Nico is a German Shepherd from Holland who joined the department in April, 2019. He is trained in tracking, criminal apprehension, evidence recovery, missing person and handler protection.

Max is a one year old energetic yellow lab trained for Friendly Finds and Drug Searches.
