Plymouth Police K-9 Unit

The Plymouth Police K-9 Unit was deactivated approximately 20 years ago, but under the leadership of Chief Botieri, it was re-instituted in the spring of 2010.

Our two K9 Officers

Both officers and their partners are currently assigned to the Patrol Division.

Ptl. Larson K9 FelixK-9 Patrol Officer Keith Larson and his assigned K-9 partner “Felix”. Felix is a black German Shepard from Czechoslovakia who joined the department in 2017. He specializes in tracking, criminal apprehension, evidence recovery, crowd control and handler protection.
K-9 Max and Officer Welch  K-9 Patrol Officer Welch and K-9 Max. K-9 Max joined the Plymouth Police Department in December, 2017. He is a one year old energetic yellow lab trained for Friendly Finds and Drug Searches.
