K-9 Oakley

K-9 Oakley joined the Department in April 2022. He is a 4-year-old, energetic American yellow lab, born in Oklahoma. He weighs in at 50lbs. Oakley is certified in narcotics detection (cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, ecstasy, and pill-based opioids), and he is now certified in friendly finds. Oakley can search for and locate missing and/or endangered persons. Oakley works with his handler, Officer Anderson. When not on duty, he lives with Officer Anderson and his family.

Baja

Comfort Dog Baja – Retired

Baja, a Yellow Labrador Retriever born in 2023 has just retired from the Plymouth Police Department’s SRO Comfort Dog at Plymouth South High School. Her handler, Ofc. Smolinsky, was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and is no longer the PSHS SRO. Now Baja is retired from the Department and free to play with her K-9 siblings.

Sasha

Comfort Dog Sasha

Sasha, born in 2023, is the Plymouth Police Department’s third Comfort Dog. She is the twenty-second member of the Plymouth County Comfort Dog Program.

Sasha is a Black Labrador Retriever. Most days, she can be found at Plymouth North High School. When not in school, Sasha lives with School Resource Officer Shawn Ireland and his family.
