What is the Pink Patch Project?
The Plymouth Police Department is pleased to participate in the Pink Patch Project during October 2025. The Pink Patch Project is a collaborative public awareness campaign, in partnership with more than 150 public safety agencies nationwide. Its goals are designed to increase education about the importance of early detection and prevention in the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations in combating this devastating disease.
During October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, uniformed personnel are allowed to replace their standard shoulder patch with the Plymouth Police Pink Patch as a reminder of our commitment to raising awareness among those we serve.
How Can You Support the Pink Patch Project?
The Plymouth Police Department has partnered with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and is selling our pink patches to the community. All proceeds go directly to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute to help fund research to find a cure for cancer. Thank you for your support.
The patches are $10 each and can be purchased online at https://charity.pledgeit.org/pink/@PlymouthPolice or at the Plymouth Police Station, 20 Long Pond Road, Plymouth, MA beginning October 1, 2025. Please note the hours for purchase in person are Mon-Thurs 7 am-3:30 pm and Fri 7 am-12:00 pm (checks or money orders only – payable to the JIMMY FUND). Please note that we have a limited number of these patches, and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
