White Horse Beach

Overview

Parks is responsible for the park maintenance/trash and DPW- Facilities is responsible for the comfort station.

Resident Beach Stickers are Required & Strongly Enforced

A resident beach sticker is required to park at any location within the White Horse Beach Parking District Map (PDF). This is enforced by the Plymouth Police Department. Sticker enforcement will begin May 23rd, 2025, and through Labor Day, September 1st, 2025.

These Guest Parking Passes are only provided with the purchase of a Resident Beach Sticker. Guest Parking Passes will only be provided to WHB Parking District Residents who live on the following 15 streets: Abington, Thomas, Williams, Homer, Taylor, Beach, Asiaf, Elm, Pearl, Hilltop, Diamond, Pine, Hemlock, Sycamore Terrace and Highland Terrace. 

These Guest Parking Passes will ONLY be valid in the White Horse Beach District in those parking spots where a Plymouth Resident Beach Sticker is required. No Guest Passes are allowed in the Public Parking Lot located off Taylor Avenue.  

Seasonal Staffing

White Horse Beach will be staffed with a beach supervisor that will monitor the public area of Whitehorse Beach (approximately 525ft located south of the Hilltop Ave public entrance) starting June 28th, 2025, through August 10th, 2025 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m.   (Saturdays, Sundays and July 3rd and 4th only) 

Facilities

A comfort station with bathrooms inside is located at the Hilltop Ave public beach entrance. 

Rules & Regulations

  • No alcohol on any beaches
  • No glass containers
  • No loud music
  • Dogs must be on a 6ft leash (or less) and under control at all times
  • No open fires
  • No boats within 150 ft of a swimmer
  • No jet skis in Morton, Fresh, or Hedges Pond
  • No fishing in designated swimming areas during hours of operation.
  • All personal flotation devices must meet Coast Guard approval
  • Lifeguards have the final say in rule enforcement
  • Drones & kites are not allowed on beaches from Memorial Day through Labor Day
  • No charcoal grills are allowed at any beach
